One on One AI Coaching
We will work with you one on one to develop your skills and understanding of Generative AI. We can tailor the coaching to your needs including, amongst others, using Generative AI to help you prepare and design learning materials, provide feedback, assist with research, prepare and design assessments automate repetitive processes and analyse your data.
Workshops
We can provide staff development workshops for academic staff. Topics are focused on Learning Experience Design and Generative AI but these can be tailored to your groups needs. Examples include:
An Introduction to AI for Educators
This is an introductory workshop that provides an overview for educators learning about the tools, their capabilities, their limitations and some of the ways that AI should and should not be used in education.
- An overview of the tools available and their capabilities.
- Things can AI do for you and your students.
- Things AI can’t do and some ways in which it should not be used.
- The ethics of AI in education.
- Regulations and policies related to the use of AI.
- An overview of designing assessments in the age of AI.
Assessment Design for AI
This is a highly focused workshop that looks at the ways AI might be used with existing assignments and the ways in which assessments can be redesigned to cope with students using AI.
We examine general principles and any regulatory or policy frameworks that are relevant for the institution. We then work through specific examples and look at how assessment might be carried out in different ways.
Using AI for Research
This is a workshop focused on the tools that can be used to assist with research activities such as data analysis and literature reviews. We examine the current tools and look at their capabilities and limitations.
Using AI for content creation, activity creation and lesson planning
This workshop looks at tools and techniques for generating content, activities and for learning using AI including:
- Text and image and video generation
- Mode transfer techniques to maximise reuse of content
- The critical importance of having a ‘Human in the loop’ (HITL)
Learning Experience Design (LXD) for Educators
In this workshop we look at the roles, activities and processes involved in modern learning experience design. Typically we examine:
- Learning design systems
- Learning experience design processes
- Roles and responsibilities
- The importance of global experience languages
- Constructive alignment
- Management of the LXD process
Presentations
We can also provide presentations and demonstrations to larger groups of academic staff. These might form part of a larger academic staff development day.
